Greetings from beautiful Lake St. Peter, Ontario, just 30 minutes South of the East Gate of Algonquin Park.

Established in 2019, Hastings Highlands Worker Co-operative (HHWC) provides services in engineering, custom metal fabrication, 3D printing and CAD to local and surrounding communities. As a worker co-operative, we are not employees but members that equitably co-own and democratically operate the business. We have a board of directors making operational decisions, however, all major decisions are made by a quorum of members present at annual general meetings.

We operate on a not-for-profit basis such that our contract price only includes the cost of materials, labour and overhead, i.e. we are not obligated to earn a profit for “shareholders” or “owners”.

Know that when you purchase a service from us, you are getting a fair price while helping to strengthen the co-operative business model.
